My first day at university


Last year at the university and the memory that was very strange comes to the first day, I feel very lonely and miserable, in the middle of many new people. I remember that it was very difficult for me to converse with people because I was a little simile person, but I could still recognize the people I had previously shared with the summer school that had been held in February of that year.


I remember that I was very anxious to know how the first classes, had a lot of expectation with everything related to the university environment.

I remember that at the beginning of the classes, many teachers, questions, the reason, why study, Anthropology, and why many asked for those who came from other regions, as an important factor.


I remember that at that time I had my ideas completely clear, because I had worked hard to get to this university to study, and I knew very well that it was not easy. In those moments I was totally sure that I would choose the mention of Archeology, which was why I had gotten there. I must accept that, on the contrary, I was largely unaware that the other two mentions are focused on: Physical Anthropology and Social Anthropology.


At the moment I can look back and see myself there, so disoriented in so many ways, and I can think about what I am now, everything I have learned and everything I have lived, all the experiences have experienced.

Good Friends

My friend and I.

Well, I known to my friend Nathalie since 2013, she is from Mincha Norte, a little rural town.  She study Veterinary and loves the animals, she have five dogs, three cats and a chicken. She was my classmate in the secondary school and we have many beautiful experiences, because we study and share our homework.  My friend and I share a love of music, the nature and the outdoor life. This is an important part of our life’s, because is the activity that our enjoy more, we love travel and practice trekking and many others outdoor sports. All summers vacations she go to my house and with many others friends go to camp near of the river or the mountain.

Since we study in Santiago, we cannot see frequently, but ever that we have time to go out any place and speak about our life’s and the university problems …. Around Once a month I meet up with my friend and us. I think that the most important between our, is the trust, because with this we can speak anything, cry or laugh.  My friend is a wonderful person J

University life and what we would like to do

One of my favorite things in life is playing the guitar, I usually practice for 30 minutes every day after I call my house, I know some songs and I enjoy this hobby because it helps me lower my stress.

I usually find it difficult to sing or play the guitar in front of people, but I still try. y start whit this since 2017, and I like very much to play songs of Violeta Parra, Victor Jara, Manuel Garcia, and other singers dr the new Chilean song, because I think they are important elements within our culture.

In this semester I would like to learn a lot about history and the different social movements, as well as to be able to delve a little deeper into ethnohistory. I would also like to develop some time related to art, such as painting or drawing.

I think that although I would like to do many things, the problem is in the organization of my time, because although I have time to play guitar, I do not have much time to do the other things that I would like. 

I think that although it is up to us to organize time well, I think that the academic activity is too demaciated and it takes us away from what we would really like to do.
